At a meeting of the Twelve counselors appointed
by the authorities of the Church---- Counselor J . Morley
Presiding,, Bro. G. W. Harris requested that the letter from
the Twelve appointing this council should be read.
togather with the proceedings of the council of the council up to
this time as several of the counselors had not attended

the clerk. Counselor Morley called upon  the brethren
to know their minds whether, they would uphold
him, or not in his office as president of the council
Counselor H. Hyde motioned that we support the
appointment of the Twelve in favor of Counselor|
Morley.---- Carried unanimously. Counselor G.W. Harris
proposed that the council meet at Council Point
Mondays Thursdays & Saturdays.-----Upon discussion
It was resolved to appoint meeting days at the
next meeting, which meeting was appointed on
next Wednesday 2 oclock P> M>
After some consultation in regard to sending back
teams to Nauvoo--- It was moved and carried unanimously
that we provide shelter for our families and fodder
for our Cattle precious to such a move-------
Counselor Hale presented the case of sevral families
where the men had gone into the army and they were
needy----- It was proposed to lay their cares before the
