    Met of the High Council, pursuant to adjournment
Geo. W. Harris  Abel Evans  Jacob Bigler  H. W. Miller.= Jacob
Baum, D. R. Willliams, Geo Coulson,, Jas. C. Snow  Harmon Cutler
                       Bishop A. Palmer & W. W. Lane also came in
                                            E, M, Greene clerk
   Prayer by Councillor Jacob Baum, who had just arrived
from Nauvoo and had not met with the Councillor since his
appointment in the Council.
    Business called for,, Prest. Harris said one item of
business he wanted considered that the Presidings Elders of
of the Branches be instructed through Elder Snow to call on all their
Elders and other officers, and lay members to take an
active part in carrying on meetings according to their
several capacities,, and sanctioning the course taking
by E. M. Greene and Elder Snow,, and
    Prest. Harris moved that Elder snow be instructed by
the Council to say to the presiding officers, of the Branches to call on
the officers to do their duty as also the members,, Carried
   Bro's Snow & Cutler came in and reported high the

reason of their being behind the time also reported
Bro Messenger not able to attend the Council..--
 Some remarks relative to Bishops in the Branches
considered best to make appointments in the Branches
of a Bishop and council so as to hold Bishop's courts &c.
   Elder Snow said he had in making appointment of
Bishops connected two three and four branches under the
jurisdiction of one Bishop, as they were located contignons
to each other.. Bishop Lane said it was right..
The clerk read the former minutes and they were accepted
     On motion the Council adjourned two weeks at
10 oclock A.M.                                     E. M. Greene clerk
