                    Kanesville Iowa July 19 ^th 1851
Met of the High Council persuant to adjournment, Geo. W.
Calvin C. Pendleton  Abel Evans, B. B. Messanger J. C. Snow,
D. R. Williams, Geo. Couslon , Harmon Cutler, Jacob Baum,
   Prayer by B. B. Messenger No 2 having been absent in his prep[===]
place. Prest Geo. W. Harris, called upon Geo. Coulson to assist
him and they ordained D. R. Williams & Harmon Cutler
  High Priests, as they were chosen into the Council
and were not H. Priest..
Councillor J. C. Snow said he wanted to know if a Bishop
having tried a case pertaining to dollars & cents and one
man rid not acquieses if the Bishop had authority to
cut then off from the church,, answered by the Council
in the affirmative..
[=] to 11 Bro. Jacob Bigler & H. W. Miller came in and plead that
they were received by their time,, accepted..
     E. M. Greene introduced the case of E. Downy and
T. Q. Graham in their getting a license for the marriage
of said E.Downy with the daughter of said Graham..
after some remarks from the Councillors on this
subject, H. W. Miller moved that Downs & Graham both
  be cut from the church for their having taken illegal
steps in obtaining a marriage license for Downs and
Grahams daughters and published in the guardian
Carried. On notion the Council adjourned 2 weeks            10 oclock A.M.
