Prest O Hyde spake of the situation if bro. Stoddard
and the appointing some one to fill his place,
that they might now put their name and seal upon some,
and said he should here after object to any one bearing
a responsible station in either the church or state, going
off to a Valley and having their place vacant as
their were many difficulties attending such vacancies
and called forth many ====== and perplexities in business &c.
h== them called the Council to nomainate some one
to fill that place, and after some suggestions by the
different Councillors and various names being calledthe Elder Hyde nominated James C. Snow to fill that
place of Councillor Lyman Stoddard, among the Branches
as a traveling itinerant and also in the H Council
the nomination was approved by the Council and
also by the house by a unanimous vote.
Elder Hyde wanted to know if the Council tho't
it advisable to send out some elders in the
world, on motion the Council voted to send
some.. Remarks from Elder Hyde on the circulation
of reports &c. He then suggested to the Council that
such persons as have friends they wish to visit
them friends in any section of the country
