The High Council met at the Log Tabernacle March 24
1848.. Present of the Counselors Pres. Jas Allred
Ira Oviatt Heman Hyde H. W. Miller L Stoddard
Wm Snow N. S. Bulkley Silas Richards E. M. Greene
A. H. Perkins Wm Draper.. Prayer by Wm Draper
Remarks on stealing the council voted to use all
excertions to stop it.. Pres. B. Young & H. C. Kimball came in
some consullations relative to organizing the county
After giving some council the Pres. left.. Pres. O. Hyde
came in,, Bro Wm Snow presented Bro Jas. Aseguris
case relative to their property , a notice was writen to
Bro Bloseham to attend the next Council and
have an investigation,, Pres. Allred introduced
the subject of matrimony for discussion..
Remarks by several of the Counselors, also by
Pres. O. Hyde council voted that pres. Hyde
draft a document on the subject,, and
present to the council at their next sitting

The case of Bro's Jas. Cragum and Rlonhams
was then presented to the council.. This is a case of
property left by the father of Bro. Cragans for
support of his widow.. Bro Cragan testified that
he covenated with his father in his death bed that
he would take care of his step mother and take
her to the final settling place of the Mormons,
and use his fathers property to carry out his
Covenants,, he further stated that his step Mother
has since married , and she and her husband
now claim the property, and he wants to
