General Conference held on Musketo Creek this
6 day of Oct A D 1848. the hour arrived that a few
had gethered but no president after a little on
out of the bad state of the weather the presidency had
not arrived at 1/2 past 1 ocl. Pres E, T. Benson came the
meeting was called to order by him proper [==] [==] and after [==][…]
Consultation Prayer By Pres Jos Young Sung '' all is well
Pres Joseph made some remarks and said that
he believed the weather would change and yet we
should have a good time followed by Pres E. T. Benson
''Bro Benson said the [=] the time church and the place of the Keys
of the King was the Record or the place of deposit of them
Followed by H. S. Bulkley and then by Benj. C;app said he
was in favor of having it continued at this place..
Jos. Young moved to adj. untill to morrow morning
10 cl. at this place carried.
B Clapp dismissed with prayer..
ON. F. 11 1/2 ocl the meeting was called to order by Pres. Joseph
Young and after some Remarks sung Prayer by L. Johnson
cloudy cold and unpleasant
Pres. Geo. A. Smith E. T. Benson of the presiding Twelve of the H. C. Remarks by G. A. S. relative to the meeting in the
Grove and presented the sending of a mail to the Valley
spake relative to the propriety of sending such mail &c.

to public schools &c.. L. Wights Pamphlet & Epistle of the Twelve &c
Appt Josiah Mevitt Robert Campbel & E M Greene clerks of
the conference.. Pres. Geo. A. S. Read contracts from Wights pamphlet
and made such remarks as he tho't proper &c ( Geo. Coulson did
the Reading) Present of the Band Wm D. Cohoon and Bunkan
Wm F. Cuter R. C. Buder Chas. A. Johnson Wm F Mc Intyre Zalriskie
gave a time on their instruments
Pres. G. A. Smith spake again.. Elder Hydes reply to L. Wight Read by
Robt Campbell Remarks again by the Prest..
Music again adj. 3/4 an hour sung '' On Mountian Top Appearing'' Benediction by E. T.Benson ..
2 1/4 ocl. congregation called to order and the Band gave a time of two
still unpleasant prayer by Elder Eekiel Sec.. sung '' come all the sons of Zion'' Pres G. A. S. presented Wm E. Mc Lellin and give some sketches from the
paper Vol. 1 No. 6 then Read an Exetract from Oliver Cowdery & Letter to David Whitmer
at writen July 1847 also an Exetract Davids letter in reply writen

President.. voted to sustain H. C. Kimble ans Counselor to B. Y. and apostle
W. Richards, also as counselor apostle and Historian.. Voted to sustain
O. H. P.P. - O C.-W.W. - J. T.- G. A. S. - Lyman wight opposed by Wm Snow and
seconded by [=] Miller on Grounds of the spirit manifisted by his pamphlet
